What is your goal after college: I plan to acquire at least a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering. I am interested in becoming a process chemical engineer and working within the electronics, food and beverage, cosmetics or medical industries.

What was the best aspect of attending your high school? The supportive all-girls environment and the wonderful faculty helped us mature into confident women and pushed us to be the best versions of ourselves.

What will you miss most about high school? Wearing uniforms and knowing everyone in my class

High school honors and awards: French Hill Second Congressional District Educational Award; Arkansas Governor’s Scholastic Honors; AP Capstone Diploma candidate; Advancement Placement awards in chemistry, physics, calculus, math I and precalculus; MSM Summa Cum Laude awards for Latin I and Honors Latin II; MSM “Smartie” Awards for Honors Latin III and AP Latin; Maxima Cum Laude/silver medalist on National Latin Exam Level III Poetry and Level IV Prose; first place in Latin Level 1-2 Poetry Recitation and second place in Latin Level 1-2 Extemporaneous Reading at 2017 AFLTA contest; National Honor Society; Mu Alpha Theta (secretary).

On May 20, Mount St. Mary Academy hosted its graduation at Robinson Auditorium in downtown Little Rock. Cathy Hastings Owen of the Class of 1976 and chairman of Eagle Bank & Trust was the commencement speaker.

The valedictorian was Angelina “Angel” Sagardui. The salutatorian was Anna Katherine “Anna Kate” Manchester. The daughter of Scott and Catherine Manchester, Manchester will attend the University of Alabama and study international relations and public policy.
