Deacon served in two Central Arkansas parishes

North Little Rock deacon Farrar died April 20. He was 83.

Deacon Chuck Farrar

Deacon Charles “Chuck” Farrar, who served as a deacon at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church in Little Rock and Immaculate Conception Church in North Little Rock, died April 20. He was 83. 

Farrar, born in Elmhurt, Ill., spent his career working for airlines and later as an insurance adjuster. He was ordained Dec. 14, 2002, and served two central Arkansas parishes for 21 years. 

He was preceded in death by his wife, Sue Farrar. He is survived by one sister, Sally Hendricks of Hot Springs Village.

A visitation was held at Immaculate Conception Church April 24, followed by a rosary. The funeral Mass was held April 25 at Immaculate Conception Church, followed by interment at Calvary Cemetery in Hot Springs.
