St. Joseph School in Conway recently conducted a community food drive in support of the Soul Food Café Mission. Three shopping carts filled with non-perishable items were donated by students and faculty from the school’s elementary, middle and high school campuses. A check for $480 was also contributed from the school’s Taylor Foundation Community Outreach Fund. Rick and Traci Harvey, the executive directors of Soul Food Café, said money will enable them to distribute more than 2,600 pounds of food to the needy. The Soul Food Café has been providing free hot meals, food boxes and clothing to the needy for more than a decade.
