The Knights of Columbus at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Hot Springs Village are continuing to support the mother of Father Nelson Rubio, associate pastor of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in North Little Rock. Father Rubio’s mother lives in Venezuela. Obtaining food, health care items and hygiene items in Venezuela is nearly impossible unless bought on the black market at exorbitant prices. Grand Knight Ed Doyle authorized funds to buy the requested items. Parishioner Elsa Naeger communicated with Father Rubio and did the shopping. A large box was shipped Dec. 6.
