Sacred relics tour in Arkansas

A teaching and exposition of sacred relics has returned to Arkansas. Father Carlos Martins of the Companions of the Cross will visit six parishes with a special Vatican collection of more than 150 relics. Attendees will be able to examine and venerate each relic. Participants are encouraged to bring their own articles of devotion and photos of ill friends and family members to touch to the reliquaries as a means of intercession.

The dates are:

• Jan. 18: St. Michael, Van Buren, 6 p.m.

• Jan. 19: Immaculate Conception, Fort Smith, 1 p.m.

• Jan. 21: St. John, Russellville, 6 p.m.

• Jan. 22: St. Joseph School, Conway, 10:15 a.m. and St. Joseph Church, Conway, 6 p.m.

• Jan. 23: Blessed Sacrament, Jonesboro, 7 p.m.

• Jan. 24: St. Agnes, Mena, 6 p.m.
