Beck wins Pioneer Award

Published March 22, 2019

Raquel Beck, a member of St. Mary Church in Siloam Springs, was recognized by the Siloam Springs Chamber of Commerce with the 2019 Pioneer Award. The award is given to residents for volunteerism and love of community. At St. Mary, she served on the Altar Society, parish council and Women of Mary and has been a religious education teacher for many years.

Beck, who was born in Mexico, worked for the Chamber of Commerce when she first arrived in Siloam Springs. She has worked as the office manger for the Community Clinic Siloam Springs Medical for the past 10 years.

She follows the Peace Prayer of St. Francis of Assisi as her life’s philosophy: “for it is in giving that we receive.”
