Sacred Heart men’s retreat

A men’s retreat for parishioners of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Hot Springs Village was held at St. John Center in Little Rock March 25-28. Sponsored by Knights of Columbus Council 10208 from Hot Springs Village, 26 men attended the retreat which included retreat talks, Masses, reconciliation, Stations of the Cross, personal spiritual development and fellowship. Father Mauricio Carrasco, pastor of St. Andrew Church in Danville and St. Augustine Church in Dardanelle and associate pastor of St. John Church in Russellville, served as the retreat leader.

At the end of the retreat, the men gave Father Carrasco a check for more than $1,000 so youth in his parishes could attend the Steubenville Youth Conference in Springfield, Mo., July 19-21. Father Carrasco said the teens are raising about half the cost and the parents are also assisting. About 40 youth will be able to attend.
