Father Dan Dorsey, 68, formerly the pastor of St. Mark Church in Monticello, was elected president of Glenmary Home Missioners during the chapter meeting May 6-10 at St. Meinrad Archabbey in St. Meinrad, Ind.
Glenmary’s president leads a three-person executive council, which also includes two vice presidents. Father Dorsey, a native of St. Louis, previously held the president post from 2003 to 2011. In the interim he has served as co-director of Glenmary’s novitiate program.
Glenmary members served in Arkansas for 49 years until they left the state in 2012.
