Published June 7, 2019

Mercy Hospital Northwest Arkansas in Rogers was one of the 13 health care and public health agencies that participated in the Northwest Arkansas Community Health Survey. Residents in the four-county area are most concerned about obesity, diabetes and mental health. Respondents ranked these issues as more important than drug use, cancer, aging problems and child abuse/neglect. Results show 33 percent of all respondents ranked obesity as the area’s No. 1 health concern. Mental health issues ranked second with 29 percent of all respondents, and diabetes was ranked third by 25 percent of respondents. From June to October 2018, surveyors collected 1,108 valid responses.
