The Knights of Columbus of Hot Springs Village hosted the Taste of Faith Dinner June 8 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church. Vocations director Msgr. Scott Friend educated attendees about the House of Formation in Little Rock and how much the council’s financial assistance has been able to help them educate future priests. A short video was shown that described the seminarian vocations program in the state. Msgr. Friend introduced 11 guest seminarians who were present. Deacon Joseph Friend and Deacon Chuck Ashburn, vocations assistant director for development and academic advising, also spoke. Grand Knight Ed Doyle presented a check to the diocese for $31,000 raised at the dinner and pastor Father Bill Elser also presented a donation from the regular stewardship of Sacred Heart parishioners.
