Mercy hospital gets top ratings

Mercy Hospital Fort Smith and Mercy Hospital Northwest Arkansas in Rogers received high ratings from The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. The Fort Smith hospital earned a four-star rating while the Rogers hospital earned a five-star rating.

CMS evaluates hospitals annually using more than 100 measures including mortality, safety of care, readmission, patient experience, effectiveness of care, timeliness of care and effective use of medical imaging. Only four hospitals in Arkansas received CMS’ five-star rating.
