Two Catholic schools competed in the Arkansas Quiz Bowl April 27 in Conway. Sacred Heart School in Morrilton competed in the 1A division, but lost to Norfolk, 230 to 175. The team included Wade Sommers, Isaac Duvall, Megan Fresneda, Becca Hartman, Jack Drilling, Asher Galla, Mary Claire Stengel and Drake Huett. They were coached by Patti Bottoms and Angie Hartman.
In the 6A division, Catholic High School in Little Rock lost to Russellville, 290 to 155. Competing for CHS were Will Mercer, Jacob Greenway, Nicholas Connell, Alex Reyes, Antonio Nimmo, Harrison Brooks, Stephen Edwards, Ethan Hurtado, Mitchell Ashford, Anh Do, Fredrick Zawlisak and Zach Ellis. They were coached by Lisa Connell and Paul Spencer.
