Led by a cross bearer and pastor Father Francis Damoah, parishioners of St. Bartholomew make their annual Walk for Christ Aug. 30 around their inner-city neighborhood, which is near Arkansas Children’s Hospital.

A feast day Mass at St. Bartholomew Church in Little Rock Aug. 30 annually includes a Walk for Christ led by young parishioners playing the drums.

After Mass Pastor Father Francis Damoah, SVD, led the congregation around the neighborhood, including past Arkansas Baptist College. At the conclusion of the walk, Father Damoah took the drum sticks from one drummer and rallied the remaining walkers with his own drum solo.

To celebrate the parish’s 106 years, members and guests gathered on the lawn next door for a barbecue lunch, performance by the St. Bart’s Praise Dancers, door prizes, games and music.
