Sacred Heart School in Morrilton will host the first (and hopefully only) Stay at Home Bazaar, in lieu of the usual large dinner and midway event.
The goal is to raise $80,000 for the school. The bazaar typically raises $110,000-$120,000 and represents approximately 11 percent of the school’s budget each year.
The Stay at Home Bazaar encourages donors to consider what they would normally have donated or spent at the bazaar and to instead make a tax-deductible donation in that amount.
Gifts can be given in advance by mailing to the school, online via Paypal or dropped in a locked box in front of the church. The week of June 1-5, when volunteers would typically be setting up for the bazaar, will be the official non-event week, with a live giving portal available for online gifts and reflecting how much has been raised toward the $80,000 goal. More information is available at sacredheartmorrilton.org.
